For my final project in printmaking, I decided to design an album cover, but instead of looking for a band that needed an album cover, I decided to turn my classmates and myself into a fictionary band called Printers. The result is a vinyl record sized album cover and sleeve that showcases all my classmates and our different imaginary talents. 

The above image is the front cover of the album entitled "All Inked Up". Each of the pairs of hands above belonged to one of my classmates. I screen printed every pair of hands and rollers, along with the eight separate color panels making up the band and album title. 

Instead of going with an inside sleeve that would show lyrics and prodcution info, I decided it was the perfect place to introduce the band. The color blothces were printed from an inkjet printer, and the images were then screen printed on one by one. 

Since we were a fictionary band about printmaking, I decided to have some fun with the song titles. Each different title has to do with either some chemical we reguraly dealt with or refers to different printing processes and insanities. I created the color layers on Adobe Illustrator and printed the side out with inkjet printer as well. Once that was completed, I printed each image one at a time so that the images would layer over each other from top to bottom.
